Autonomie is delighted to launch the What Next? Programme with the first session due to take place on Wednesday 4 July 2018. Suitable for young people aged between 16 and 25 living with physical disabilities/mild/moderate learning disabilities this activities programme will offer participants a chance to develop life skills, have new experiences, build friendships.
Designed to promote positive mental health, What Next? delivers fun-packed activities every Wednesday and Thursday at Finaghy Youth Centre, Belfast, 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.
On Wednesday 4 July, Drakes Music will facilitate a creative music workshop at Finaghy Youth Centre. Everyone will get the opportunity to express themselves using a variety of computer interfacing technology and musical instruments regardless of ability.

On Saturday 9 June zoologist, Catherine Bennett is bringing her Animal Jungle Show to Autonomie and participants will look at what animals live solitary lives and what animals like to lie with others - and what happens when you mix this up
This will be followed by 'Make your own Pizza'!
As part of our programme themed 'Personal Boundaries and Limitations'. Young people will get a chance to have a ten pin bowling experience at the busy Odyssey Bowl, Belfast.
This practical and fun activity will give participants a chance to develop awareness of appropriate behaviours towards a range of people, including showing respect for each player by sitting in designated places and showing respect for each player by giving them space to play.
Our work is underpinned by listening and robust research. We listen to many voices. We hear directly from young people and it's important too that we hear from their families.

This is part two of a two part Boundaries and Limitations activities workshop for young people with additional needs. The course will take a practical approach, allowing participants to further explore the concept of respect, whether earned or to be earned - and look at personal space and when and why it is important to be respected.
The Theme of this programme is 'Personal Boundaries and Limitations'. During this workshop, participants can choose to take part in a variety of exercises to build skills in identifying and respecting personal boundaries and limitations. This session is the first of a two-day workshop and it will introduce the concepts of recognising our own and other people's boundaries, comfort zones, and individual differences in a fun, interactive way.

On Saturday 17 February, young people will be continuing with their preparation for the 'Autonomie Musical Extravaganza' by practicing their dance moves and making masks.
On Saturday 3 February young people will continue with preparations for the 'Autonomie Musical Extravaganza' and also get a chance to take part in a healthy eating cooking demo and enjoy some tasty sausages, beans and toast.

This session which is the last in our Keeping Safe Programme is designed to empower young people to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world.

Suitable for young females aged between 14 and 25 living with a disability, 'Girls Pamper Night' will offer participants a chance to socialise, display their creativity, as well as develop their personal presentation skills in a safe and collaborative environment.
It's nearly here for the Freedom2Choose Christmas Meal. On Saturday 16 December Freedom2Choose young people will get the chance to celebrate their achievements over a festive meal at American Diner - Boston Grill at Lisburn Omniplex.
Having completed the 'Keeping Safe' themed Freedom2Choose programme young people learned how to keep safe in the community, how to safeguard their personal possessions, how to stay safe online as well as how to recognise a disability hate crime and how important it is to tell a trusted adult - with steps on how to report it.

Young people will acquire new skills and become more knowledgeable on ways to safeguard themselves and their belongings in the community as well as learning how to recognise the signs of a disability hate crime and how to effectively report it.
