“Planting plants offers a real sense of achievement and responsibility and is a great way to help the environment. The young people really enjoyed potting plants and designing their pots and are excited to watch them grow and bloom.”
Champions! Today and this week for #VolunteersWeek we are celebrating our amazing volunteers.
At Autonomie, we actively encourage young people who take part in our programmes to become volunteers.
We offer structured opportunities for young people to volunteer and mentor their peers, volunteer on our Youth Forum, as well as opportunities to help lead activities programmes planning and delivery.
Young people are at the heart of everything we do!
Huge thanks to everyone who made the Strictly Our Achievements Celebration Event a success yesterday, especially the young people who not only were involved in the event planning right from the start but those too involved in the delivery of the event - you were all the stars of the show yesterday evening, especially Stephanie for your beautiful solo performance of All of Me by John Legend.
Our Freedom2Choose programme finished on Saturday 30th June with a Youth Forum called 'Young People's Voice'. This new forum offered young people a chance to share their experiences and feedback on the latest Freedom2Choose Programme. Young people also got a chance to help plan future programme activities for our new What Next? and Freedom2Choose Programmes.
Autonomie is committed to offering young people a hands-on approach. Already involved in the planning and delivery of elements of activities programmes, young people who can will deliver elements of the activities programmes themselves.
