Autonomie Volunteer Trevor Boyle has been named a Lidl Community Works Local Hero

Trevor O’Boyle is among 38 winning “heroes” nominated by Lidl Northern Ireland customers to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to causes they are passionate about in their local area.

Trevor is a founding member and volunteer of Autonomie. He has worked tirelessly to improve services for local families and looks after the day to day management of the organisation as well as coordinating volunteers.

His work plays a central role in enabling Autonomie to thrive within the local community and make the lives better for those children and young adults living with a disability. He will be honoured at an exclusive gala event on the renowned SS Nomadic in Belfast on 1 December.

Autonomie Awarded £5,000 Grant Towards Specialist Toy Library

Autonomie is delighted to announce the organisation has been awarded £5,000 donation towards a specialised toy library. 

Santander Foundation, which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities has awarded Autonomie with £5,000 funds towards the creation of a specialist toy library for young children with additional needs.

Autonomie is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in this years ‘UTV People’s Projects Awards’ competition.

 

Run by UTV and the Big Lottery Fund people vote to decide which local community project succeeds in getting up to £50,000 of National Lottery funding.

Trevor Boyle, Volunteer Coordinator at Autonomie said: “This money would enable us to develop LILAC House (Linked Independent Living and Advice Centre).
