Latest Freedom2Choose Programme Announced

We are delighted to announce that the next Freedom2Choose pilot programme will run 1 April to 24 June 2017.

In partnership with EA and South Belfast Area Project, this one day a week personal development programme aims to empower young people with additional needs, giving young people the chance to learn new skills, meet new people, have new experiences and feel part of a community.

Over the course of this 12-week programme, participants will get the chance to take part in a range of activities including drama workshops, baking classes, craft workshops and much more.  As the programme is Freedom2Choose, we hope that each young people will choose which activities they want to take part in.

Who can attend?

A young person aged between 16 and 25.

 

What type of activities can I expect?

Activities that will take place on a weekly basis will include an Easter arts and crafts workshop, drama and musics workshops, a baking lesson and a visit to The Ulster Museum. 

 

How much does it cost to attend the programme?

All members are asked to make a voluntary donation of £3 per week.

 

Where does the programme take place?

Activities take place at Charter youth Club. Outing information will be made available closer to the time of each event.

Why should young people attend this programme? 

This programme will teach young people with additional needs new skills. They will get to meet new people, have new experiences and feel part of a community. By attending this programme young people will learn how to interact better with others and provides each person with the opportunity to look at personal challenges and how these can be overcome. 

 

Is there an Easter break?

Yes, the Programme will break for the Easter holidays with no programme on 15th and 22nd of April 2017.
