Boys Sleepover at Lilac House 'Best boys night ever'

Access to short-term Independent Living at Lilac House is a key focus of our What Next? programme supported by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The programme gives young people with additional needs aged 19 - 25 who feel ready a chance to develop and learn new independent living skills, skills such as convenient cookery including preparing breakfast, using the dishwasher, microwave and using adapted utensils if required.

Participants are responsible for making their own beds, cleaning up after themselves and looking after their own belongings.

With opportunities to access the best Belfast has to offer, participants visit local restaurants and order their own food, as well as enjoy things like cinema visits and grocery shopping.

On Friday 31 May 2019 we hosted a Boys sleepover, which started with the boys having to make their own beds - a team effort, well done.

Then it was time to order food, with everyone choosing burgers from Tribal Burger - which we have been informed were ginormous and delicious.

Following all of this, the guys ‘threw some moves’ to their own choice of tunes.

‘Best boys night EVER’ was the feedback- until the next time!
